This fall, as part of its yearlong 35th anniversary festivities, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) will host its first-ever family fundraiser—KIDS JAMM at PAMM. On October 27, presented by Centner Academy, this unique event will encourage children of all ages, and parents alike, to explore their creativity and tap into their inner artists. Working with renowned multi-disciplinary artists, kids will have an unforgettable experience creating their own masterpieces. KIDS JAMM is a rare opportunity for kids and their grown-ups to interact and create with some of Miami’s best-known artists, as well as artists from around the country.

With PAMM’s stunning views and architectural splendor as the backdrop, KIDS JAMM will also feature live music, fun activities, tasty snacks and treats, performers, special guests, and so much, all designed for families to forge a deeper connection with PAMM, living artists, the creative process. Not only will parents and kids bond with the quality time spent together, they will also feel good about giving back to the museum and the community by allowing others a chance to experience the same arts enrichment.

All funds raised will support several of the museum’s robust art education program, the largest of its kind outside the Miami-Dade County public school system. Attendees will help support PAMM’s free access days, like PAMM Free Second Saturdays and Free First Thursdays. Both days give museum access to thousands of families each month, allowing them to experience the transformative power of the arts firsthand. From hands-on art-making activities to special intergenerational programs, both of these days allow families to visit the museum without barriers and engage with the art on the walls.

Proceeds from the event will also support the PAMM Student Pass. Launched in 2018, the program grants free admission to the museum for all students currently attending Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS), plus an adult. Creating access and early exposure to art not only opens a child’s heart and mind to creativity and ingenuity, but also sharpens critical thinking and other skills that help students learn content across the educational disciplines.

If you are looking for an arts-immersive, family-friendly day that gives back to the community, KIDS JAMM is a must-do for your social calendar. KIDS JAMM will take place on October 27, 2019, from 10am–2pm at PAMM, located at 1103 Biscayne Blvd. Don’t miss out! For more information, visit pamm.org/kidsjamm19.
