Zoo Lights Miami

Zoo Lights Miami, Zoo Miami’s winter holiday celebration, returns this year with one million bright, animal shaped lights, dazzling tree lights and a new 26’ tall holiday LED tree. Zoo Lights will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on select nights from November 27 through December 27.

Beginning on November 27, Zoo Lights guests can enjoy a special appearance with Santa Claus and a new 26’ LED holiday tree in the FPL SolarNow Plaza.  Visitors will be delighted by animal encounters, Snowman’s River boat rides*, hot chocolate and cookies*, letters to Santa, and holiday shopping at the Zoo gift shop*.  There will also be complimentary entertainment, including themed evenings, a virtual tree lighting ceremony on November 27 at 6:30 p.m., music, arts and crafts, and more.

Early bird ONLINE admission to Zoo Lights is $17.95 per adult and $15.95 per child until November 23rd at

The Free First Saturday is Presented by Kiddos Magazine. Families get free admission to the museum on the first Saturday of the month. A fun family day to view the historic rail cars, explore the museum, and take a train ride for an additional fee.

Free First Saturday at Gold Coast Railroad Museum @gcrm Presented by Kiddos Magazine brings lot of fun and entertainment for our kiddos! Take a train ride and visit Kiddos Magazine booth for 5 hours of non stop fun in our Kids Zone for an additional fee! Jump and play in our Adventurer Toddler Gym Set courtesy of Todo Kids Party, especially for kids ages 5 and under*. Kids participating will receive a goodie bag while supplies last.

Beethoven Lives Upstairs

Orchestra Miami presents Beethoven Lives Upstairs, the world-famous two-person show about a young boy and the genius who lives upstairs. Starring 11 year old Melanie Caplan as “Christoph” and A.J. Ruiz as “Uncle”, directed by Emmy-award winning director David Grabarkewitz, with the full orchestra conducted by Elaine Rinaldi.

The Real Food Academy 

How to Become a Real Food Chef – After School Cours


4:30-6:00 pm

($300/course or $45/day) Ages 7-13

In this 10-week course, session 2 our budding chefs will learn all the basics and techniques on how to become a Real Food Chef.

Each week they’ll be introduced to a new culinary concept, we’ll cover the topics and create dishes accordingly. In each class, students can expect to make 2 to 3 dishes depending on the complexity of the recipes.  If you took session 1, we will change the menu and create new all-new dishes according to the same concept.

This course is good for beginners and intermediate level of cooking experience.  We’ll group them according to their age and cooking experience.
