Miami Children’s Museum on Watson Island is turning 15 years old and we are celebrating in a big way! The celebration will take place on Saturday, September 15th from 11 AM to 6 PM and is sponsored in part by Florida Dairy Farmers and Blick Art Materials. Since it is also the start of Hispanic Heritage month, the Museum’s lovable mascot Michimu’s Quinceañera Birthday Party will be a real fiesta of delights including special performances by the Museum’s Theater Troupe and a Mariachi band along with other traditional birthday treats.  And of course, there will be cake!

Join in Michimu’s Celebration with birthday-themed games, arts and crafts, and music.  Enjoy a special performance by the Museum’s Theater Troupe, a playful piñata, balloon animals and face painting, a Mariachi Band, dance workshops, performances, and tasty treats.  Then everyone will join in to sing Michimu Happy Birthday! And of course, there will be cake!

“Celebrating 15 years is a surreal moment for us. We hope to continue the work we do for the children in our South Florida community for many years to come” said Deborah Spiegelman, CEO/Executive Director at Miami Children’s Museum
